new stuff a comin'

i cannot wait for a couple packages i have on the way. i don't want to spoil the surprise but this stuff is pretty cool and will be great for the new site. i keep getting these updates on how it is going, by the way and it looks fabu, if i don't say so myself! it looks...so professional. so, so, pretty. i could not be happier with it so far. over the weekend i had to send in sample pictures and some details and such for the initial setup. i cannot wait for when it is under my control and up and running for real.


on bummer thing is that some dude on ebay is jerking me around with payment--thankfully i did not ship the item but i need the $$ in my paypal. crafting supplies. must have crafting supplies. this guy is a real piece of work. hmmph. we will see. he has until tomorrow to pony up the goods. :(


i can't wait to post pictures of these new items. i am really excited to offer them!

'tis half the sampler contribution, minus the packaging! i found out that it is run out of good ol' sacto ca and also they pass the samplers along to magazine editors and zine people far and wide. how exciting. more pictures of the finished product this weekend! ;)

sampler=love

what a kick in the ass! got the green light from the sampler tonight and the timing could not be better. emailed the webdesign gals to see if they can expedite a banner for me and i will be sending over the info to the sampler tomorrow. will be alittle disappointed if the banner will take a day or two, but i can always send it in later. i am so excited, and the gal was super nice. she even commented on the picture quality. nice! diggity-dog i am so stoked. gonna have to take a tylenol pm to sleep right now, my mind is racing with a hundred ideas.

rebel craft fair redux

damn if that did not get pushed back until april 28th! now, part of me is bummed. part of me is relieved. part of me says, wait a minute what if i get the green light for craftywonderland in april and i have *TWO* in one month. whoa. well, more time to get some new packaging, something snazzy. i applied for the sampler, and if i make 50 of anything i think it ought to have a nice package for those lucky sampler subscribers. but that is if i get the green light there, too. *crossing fingers*

love for sale....

not really, just buttons and accessories! today i got a lead on 40 felt pins for another etsy seller to use with her purses and shoes. i hope that goes thru, for the word of mouth value alone. and good news, the gal with the green sunglass purse came through and it is going out tomorrow for her! trying to highlight the positive, since i feel so personally crappy with a cold and pms. but that which does not kill me, makes me stronger: to make more stuff!

this week

this week i am going to make some minipillows from some great fabric i got and also hook up some new buttons. the new button sets should be here today or tomorrow. i am experiencing a cold at the moment, so i don't know how much i am going to be feeling like working at this stuff at least today. i am going to go and curl up on the new sofa and think about what to make next. sorry if i don't post as much as last week--i know how much you *love* to read up on me...er, i mean neverfeltbetter! (wink wink)

pouch finished!

the pouch is all done, i hope she likes it. with the green cord and the leaves theme of her choice it looks awfully fall-ish. check out the full felt button moon! anyway here is a peek. some of the glue is still drying so it looks funky but it will dry clear. trust me.

drawstrings are hard!

they seem really simple, but as it proves they are harder than they seem! i am working on the commisioned sunglass pouch today. i will have pictures later,but i just had to bitch about drawstrings. as if you cared. which you do. should come out pretty freaking cute, and at least i called the right fabric for the gal which she is leaving alot up to me but let me know her fav colour and also what to have on it image wise. pictures later tonight! :)

oh and i ordered some better button sets for my machine. i was wondering why these were so hit and miss, turns out the buttons that come with it are kinda booty to work with. no i have 100 second day'ed and they should make a huge difference. of course, pics to follow of new batches.

buttons!

who loves their button maker? meeeeeeeeeee! i am waiting on a package of some new fabric and flat ring backs, so in the meantime i am getting the feel of this little machine. i swear, i took out the instructions and it looked like greek at first but now i am churning them out with fair success. i am keeping the ones that aren't perfect, but fabric is iffy and you have to have it just so for them to cover properly. these are not up on etsy, yet. i am debating wether to have them singular, or put them in coordinating sets when they are all finished. :) yay for fun

being vegan paid off today

in more ways than usual! a fellow vegan contacted me after some spamming about my shop (not really but it can feel like it sometimes) and she wants me to make her a sunglasses pouch. how cool is that. i don't know what it is this week, but i hope it continues because this is some good shit here. seriously. maybe it was the no life accusation! thanks to you, i have had the best week of late! no rilly. thank you.

more sales this am...i will miss this little guy alot but i think i shall make some new versions. i got alot of good feedback on this. an old coworker of mine who has her finger on the pulse of what rocks said she is obsessed with cowboy stuff. could this be next? hmmm.

i am *this* close to convincing kristie to hop a flight up for the march fair. i could use a booth buddy and some kristie...i do have powers of persuasion. the last of the second saturday pins from sacramento will be going to cheapthrills (where she works go stalk her!) for sale, hopefully there aren't alot but just enough for the last of the last money from this sacramento sale. won't know until after this saturday, but if you are from the sacto area check it out. ya might pick up a cute little chatchki to play with. in the mean time, i am working on the cutest embroidery panel. it has my business name in cursive and some cute cherries...they are dreaming of me and have the bubble over their head with "nfb" in it. ahw. pictures to follow. oh and i am getting my camera on friday. i could shit twice and die. my real life sure is bustling for someone who doesn't have one......;)

so last night i had 4 eight-year old girls over for a sleepover birthday party for my girl and so i did not lose it mentally, i tried freehand embroidering some roses.


i think they turned out pretty good for a real first try. i may make patches out of something similiar. they are on felt, of course!
