i think i will get a few more styles of these cute fruit buttons to make into hairpins. i have had good luck with them because, well, they are cute as heck! :)

finally i can say barring a few last minute tweaks: I AM DONE! and now thinking about the next big thing. custom orders are both satifying and nerve-wracking at the same time.

here are a few pics of two of six finished bags, and some of the magnets. i should be completely done by this weekend and moving onto other projects. (i just got a beautiful mold for day of the dead skulls- i am too excited to make a few of those!)

these pictures may not make much sense...they are my work-in-progress pouches and if my toddler would just take it easy on me for 5 minutes i just maybe able to finish up someday soon. before i grow old :) i did manage to tack in some linings and actually sew one in!

snail clutch!

just finished this little guy...a boxy crochet clutch with a snail applique! the inside fabric was sewn by hand and is a vintage print of horoscope signs...

working for the weekend!

it was really stormy last night and it rains today much to my chagrin. apparently that is going to be the scene for at least a week. i hope they are wrong as they so often are! but, lets look on the bright side. i will have a LOT of time on my hands to finish this crochet custom order!!! i have two plus done and am working on number three. i can even list one of them since it wasn't in the style she ended up going with for the order by tomorrow, hopefully.

i am flooding myspace, livejournal and pretty much everywhere else with this ad hoping to drum up some weekend sales. etsy has been SLOW and there is a lot of drama on there so i am not holding my breath for any breakout sales there anytime soon! please tell a friend about never felt better!!!! :))

crocheting fool!

nothing new to post pictures of this time...just a couple of unfinished bags and a pouch. the weekend was good and soul-feeding so i am excited to get a few of the custom bags out of the way soon. of course i will post some new pictures of those when they are finished:) in the meantime enjoy a couple of shots from my backyard blooms!

butterfly brew

my friend vanessa and i are going to make dandylion wine this summer. i have at least 3 pounds in my yard alone. here is some of her proprietary blend of the tub tea "butterfly brew". isn't it pretty? my back yard right now is teeming with springtime flowers and plants. it is so gorgeous here!

thrift score!

i did not make these circles, instead i scored them from the thrift shop! soon to be incorporated into many, many things i know! they are acrylic with my fav pinked edges and also a groovy vinyl owl adhered on somehow. GOOD STUFF! i am totally stoked.

*what a day* when i come home after running an errand i got confirmation on a new wholesale account and they want 20 things, including my crocheted clutches, vintage fabric magnets, coasters and mouse pads. can i churn out 6 of these puppies in a week or so? *cracks knuckles!*

this is a new store here in pdx opening soon so i am really excited and happy to have a new opportunity for growth! and so adding this all to the list of cool happenings around here...shawn found $8 on the ground outside of his work. sweet!

the red cord bird pouch is sold, but i got so many positive comments at crafty wonderland i think i will make something similar. yesterday i sewed a new zippered vintage towel pouch but it i am unsure if i will offer it up for sale-the nylon zipper is slightly buckled. ah what the hell, i never promised perfection and it is really very slight! wonky and all it is still really cute! would you buy something with a slight defect? i would.

here is something else crafty i think i will do this week if possible: dandelion wine! there is at least two gallons of dandelions in my backyard alone. HUGE ones. i am thinking it is all about some flower hooch! i will let definitely take pictures of that process. it sounds like fun...

i have been away too long, and i think i am going to be keeping up this blog for good now. i would love to break away from myspace and livejournal and i forgot all about this page. but iiiii'mmmm baaaaaack!

i will post some pictures of some recent adds to the shop to get the juices flowing and hopefully some incentive to go finish the sewing projects i have in the works!

i made a couple things for cfc's donation, and i think they are sweet. felt one inch buttons with miniture vintage cabochons. owls, butterflies and turtles....two-by-two is their name. you know. noah and all....:)

better way to manage postage

there has got to be a better way to manage postage. i must go to the usps website to see if they have a solution. this is serious, it is really crappy outside and i don't want to walk down to the postoffice plus place right now....mreh!

i am really excited, i heard back from the gal tonight and yay i am going to contribute! hopefully within the next couple weeks--depending on how things go here. woot woot go me i am stoked!

can't sleep!

so i thought i would update alittle! the site is hopping, and thanks to referrals from here, there and everywhere i see some folks coming back to see what is new and i totally am stoked on that....i even had my first sale today! i track customers on all my sites and i see folks coming from as far as singapore--japan, i even had one from australia yesterday. it is so cool to be able to SEE who is coming to visit and from WHERE. repeat customers, even if to look usually are super cool. unless they are wierdos, but that is another story!

also i contacted the folks from crafters for critters and am hoping to be accepted to contribute some stuff. i got some new supplies coming in the mail that would be *purrrrfect* for animal causes. ha ha--goto their website www.craftersforcritters.com to check out how you can help animals in need. there are a ton of great links and i would be so happy to get involved with such a great organization--my daughter thinks we should sponser a rescued farm animal on the sanctuary and that is not a bad idea someday soon i hope. she is not a half bad activist if i don't say so myself! :)
